The Intermountain Section of the MAA is happy to hold our Spring Annual Conference of 2018 at Utah State University in Logan. In addition to an exciting program including invited talks and a student competition, we invite you to give a contributed talk about your research or teaching innovations. Deanna Haunsperger

Dr. Deanna Haunsperger

is MAA president (2017-2018) and Professor of Mathematics at Carleton College, where she has been teaching for over twenty years. She earned her BA in mathematics and computer science from Simpson College and her PhD in mathematics from Northwestern University, focusing on voting theory applications to decision making. Dr. Aleka McAdams

Dr. Aleka McAdams, Senior Software Engineer at Walt Disney Animation Studios. McAdams has a Ph.D. in applied math from UCLA and has been at Disney for seven years following an internship there.


Deanna Haunsperger

Dr. Eric Sullivan

Eric Sullivan is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Carroll College in Helena, MT.  After graduating with an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Iowa State University in 1998 he taught high school mathematics for 10 years.  He did his Ph.D. work at the University of Colorado, Denver from 2008 to 2013 focusing on numerical PDEs.
